World number three Alexander Zverev has withdrawn from the Amro World Tennis Championships in Rotterdam due to an ankle injury.
The German first appeared at the Rotterdam event in 2015 and has gone on to play at the tournament on five occasions.

But he won’t be in the mix this season after it was confirmed he needs to take some time off to recover from an ankle issue.
“Alexander Zverev had problems with his ankle in the run up to the Australian Open and this injury has returned during the Davis Cup.
Therefore, he cannot come to Ahoy,” said tournament director Richard Krajicek in a statement.
Bosnian world number 52 Damir Dzumhur will take Zverev’s spot in the Netherlands while Tomas Berdych has received a wildcard entry.
