Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has dismissed the possibility of both Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos leaving the club this summer.
Zidane, who has just returned as coach, is set to reshape his squad this summer, leading to reports that Benzema and Kroos could be part of a clear-out.
However such talk appears to be wide of the mark. “Benzema is compatible with everyone because he can bring all the good players together,” Zidane said. “Karim is a different player, he’s not a typical No 9.

When I saw him start, he was playing more in midfield and out wide. “He knows that he can do many things, he can score like a No 9 and he can do link-up play.” Kroos is another player to be linked with a move away, but again Zidane says he has no intention of cashing in and the German is key to his future plans.
“Kroos is a very good player, not only for me,” Zidane added. “He’s done many good things in his five years here, he’s a calm player that doesn’t wilt under pressure. “I like him, I’ve always liked him.
You talk and will continue to talk about Toni and other players that I don’t want… all of them are important and good enough.”
