Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel is reported to be in advanced negotiations to become Three Lions of England’s new handler.
England have a list of four football managers they’d like to appoint after learning that Lee Carsley has snubbed the role on a full-time basis.
According to The Telegraph (via Metro) interim boss Carsley does not wish to be the new permanent England manager.
It is reported that Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, who is out of contact at the end of the season, remains England’s ‘dream choice’ to replace Gareth Southgate.
Also mentioned are former Chelsea manager Graham Potter as well as Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe.
However, it was claimed on Friday that Tuchel is in ‘advanced negotiations’ to become England’s new manager.
The German, who won the Champions League during his stint at Chelsea, has been out of work since leaving Bayern Munich at the end of last season.

But why are England behaving like this now?
Don’t they have many qualified English coaches? Why do they want to give the job to a foreigner?
The English FA must be suffering from inferiority complex. Instead of them to give “THEIR OWN” the job, they want to give it to a German!
Or perhaps, could it be that the English just want success? They are willing to give the job to anyone they believe can take them where they want to be. They are ready to invest huge sums in a coach who is proven, and can make a difference. They are not interested in “FAILING WITH THEIR OWN”.
Correct talk my brother, unlike onigbese NFF
Mention the qualified coaches you referring to? have you wondered why the interim coach was quick to decline the Job. You make it sound like its that easy. They had Southgate for 9 years without any success. So where is the crime if they decide to look outside.
Watching english media, all these english people do is go on podcast and talk shit. They overrate their own, especially english players. A lot of english coaches are under qualified, they just love podcast.
In my opinion to know if you are a top coach you have to coach out of your native league. Similar to players, if you are the best, go to different leagues and prove it. The top european coaches are spanish coaches, especially basque coaches. Pep Guardiola, unai emery, mikel arteta and that new bournemouth coach who did a good job least season. The premier league has a lot of foreign coaches while having only a few enlgish coaches. Most english coaches coach in lower levels.
You cant call yourself the best league when you cant even win the euros or fifa world cup. Spain won the euros and they might win the world cup. Spanish players play wherever. They play in the english, italian and german league. While english people get upset when the english players leave the premier league. The premier league has the most money, thats honestly it. One of the major factors is the english language so they get a lot of investments and media deals. So thats why the premier league looks attractive, not talking about the players.
Some say they were waiting for pep guardiola to finish out his last season with man city and go after him. But after the mishap with greece they want a new coach now. Belgium and turkey got italian coaches. England dont have a lot of options for coaches other than eddie howe.
Another thing is the english pick and choose when to take games serious. The teams that win things are the team that takes every game including friendlies serious. The english media always say the uefa nations league is beneath them and its another friendly. So they always have a 2nd or 3rd team lineup. Even then they still cant beat teams and now are in 2nd tier of the eufa nations league. Spain and france put out strong teams regardless what type of game it is. You need to have a winning mentality and culture
You cant say oh you shouldnt put out strong teams for meaningless games, it will most likely cause injuries. Club teams put out strong lineups against relegated teams. Injuries happen with club and country. Spain were missing 7-11 players and still won against denmark
Spain promoted their u21 coach to the main team and won the uefa nations league and the euros. England tried to do the same thing with lee carsley who coached the u21, but I guess its not working
