Terem Moffi has revealed how long it took him to reply Gernot Rohr after getting called up by the Super Eagles coach for the friendlies against Cameroon on WhatsApp.
Moffi was part of the players invited by Rohr for the games against the 2021 AFCON hosts in Austria.
The Lorient hitman went on to make his debut after coming on in the second half but could not prevent the Eagles from losing 1-0.

And recalling how he reacted when he first got the call-up from Rohr via Whatsapp, Moffi told the Super Eagles media:”I got the call-up after the Bordeaux game. I scored a hat-trick and my phone was buzzing with messages, I looked at my WhatsApp I saw a message from Gernot Rohr. I couldn’t reply to the message instantly.
“I took a screenshot and sent it to my family groupchat and I was like what do I say. It was really surprising because it’s the Super Eagles Coach and it’s not everyone that get the opportunity to a call-up in that way. I really excited, it was really good to be honest.
“It took me about 45 minutes to give him a response. I just said ‘thank you coach, it’s an honour to get a message from you. I would really like to play for my nation’, and he said he is looking forward to seeing me, it was incredible.
“I was really nervous at first because I never expected that I would share the pitch with Iheanacho, Ndidi, Iwobi.
“It’s been good so far, training sessions we have had I think I’ve done well, the boys have been helpful, it’s a really good group and I’m happy. I will try and do my best and promise to score goals.”

Rohr is not a good coach. He doesn’t believe in His players, always say, they are not playing in big clubs. Bonfere Jo believes so much on Nigerian players n you see his achievements n results. When you watch tomorrow’s match, there will be no plan on how to attack and score. The players rely on their skills to score
Rohr doesn’t come anywhere near Samson Siasia in terms of tactics..
Go and coach the Eagles now or please stop the nonsense rants!!!! Look at your climate, is it optimal for the best??? Don’t deceive yourself oga!!! We thank Rohr, personally I feel he has Nigerian blood, or else who else can stomach the persistent bullshit served by our NFF??? Please kindly drop constructive criticism, or just observe!
Bros let’s exercise patience Abeg oooo
What we should appreciate in Rohr is the invitation of more players you never thought exist. To me, the game against Cameroumian especially the substitution gave me another Suoer eagle team of short, medium term. It opens the team to competition and so we ll be seeing the best in the nearest time
