Paul Casey is reportedly ready to join Justin Rose in switching to Honma irons in 2019. The Englishman is mainly a free agent after Nike’s departure from the club market towards the end of 2017 and while he quickly signed a deal to use Taylor Made woods, he has had his choice of equipment last year, using Mizuno irons and Titleist wedges and putter.

Tuesday saw Justin Rose confirm his decision to use Honma in 2018 and Casey appears set to follow in his footsteps. The 41-year-old was seen using the Japanese brand’s TW-U Forged utility iron in practice ahead of the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.
Casey qualified for the traditional season-opener at Kapalua, which features the winners from the previous year’s PGA Tour events, thanks to his victory at March’s Valspar Championship, his first win in America since the 2009 Houston Open.
