Vice-President Javier Zanetti has said, talks of Jose Mourinho returning to Inter Milan is “disrespectful” to coach Luciano Spalletti.
Zanetti was speaking at Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium on Saturday as an Inter Forever side defeated a Spurs Legends’ outfit 5-4. Mourinho was also in attendance and Zanetti was subsequently quizzed about the possibility of the Portuguese tactician returning to the Giuseppe Meazza, where he guided the Nerazzurri to the Treble in the 2009-10 season before moving to Real Madrid that summer.
The 54-year-old, who was sacked by Manchester United in mid-December, is looking for work, but Zanetti was coy on a possible reunion. “We always see Mourinho with great affection, as we experienced unforgettable moments together,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “He came to say hello and we were all very pleased.

I do want to point out he was not the Coach of the Inter Forever team, as that was Francesco Toldo, so Mourinho was just visiting.” On a potential return to Inter, Zanetti added: “That seems disrespectful to Luciano Spalletti, who is preparing for a very important match against Lazio.
There are still 10 games to go that will decide our future and we hope to achieve Champions League qualification.”
