“It’s with great concern and disappointment that we address the action of coach Ologundudu Adeniji’s conduct during the Yucateco Boxing League event held in Osogbo on January 5, 2024. His actions on this day have raised serious issues of misconduct, disruption of the event, insubordination and the use of threatening language towards Judges and the referees, which are unequivocally unacceptable,” the Statement reads.
“Adeniji’s apparent disregard for the principle of fair play and sportsmanship during the event, coupled with the inappropriate language and threat directed at the officials, go against the values upheld by the Yucateco Boxing League. “In light of the aforementioned offense, the committee has unanimously decided to relieve coach Adeniji of his duties as the coach of Conkal Boxing Club with immediate effect. Coach Adeniji’s actions have left us with no choice but to enforce this disciplinary action.”
