The CEO of Yucateco Boxing Promotions, Omonlei Yakubu Imadu, has urged boxers competing in the second season of the Yucateco Boxing League (YBL) to stay dedicated to their quest for glory.
Imadu made this known on the sidelines of the YBL Week 4 event held in Lagos on Sunday.
Imadu, who also doubles as the President of the Boxing Promoters Association of Nigeria (BPAN), exhorted the boxers to develop a champion’s mentality as the bouts move to other parts of the country in Week 5.

“The commitment of these boxers is never in doubt, but they need to understand that the competition becomes tougher with every fight week,” Imadu said.
“The atmosphere we have here today is obviously different from what awaits the boxers in other parts of the country, so it’s important that they are mentally prepared for the journey ahead.”
The Yucateco chief said all mechanisms have been put in place to ensure the league surpasses what was achieved in the maiden season.
