Nuno Espirito Santo will use a number of Under-23s when Wolves play Shrewsbury in Tuesday’s FA Cup fourth-round replay. The original match ended as a 2-2 draw at New Meadow on January 26, with Matt Doherty’s injury-time goal sealing a replay for the West Midlanders.
The sides will now do it all again at Molineux, with Wolves strong favourites to progress despite the fact that a number of youngsters and fringe players will be on view.
Defender Ruben Vinagre will miss the cup tie with flu, while midfielder Diogo Jota is also absent after picking up a knock against Everton on Saturday.
Ryan Giles and Niall Ennis have been tipped earn a senior call up for the FA Cup clash, with Nuno telling reporters: “It was a tough game (at Shrewsbury), but I can say Ryan Giles is going to be involved tomorrow. “That is the idea when you bring in back-ups, you try and provide them this moment of real competition. This is the way we can see how well they handle situations.”
