Josh Cullen says his loan spell with Charlton has been excellent for him but he is ready to return and make the grade with West Ham. The 23-year-old will return from his loan spell at the Addicks and try and make himself a first-team regular at the London Stadium, although he accepts he will find it hard to try and establish himself at West Ham.

The midfielder has made three cameo appearances for West Ham in the past but he intends to become a regular next term after 28 appearances for the Addicks this season. “I’ve always said that the main focus is to go back to West Ham and get a first-team place there,” he said. “I’ll go back.
They want me back to go and do pre-season and try and make my time there successful. Get in the first-team and warrant that place. That’s what I’m looking to do and hopefully that will happen. “I think it’s important for every player – playing games and improving, developing yourself. “You only get that through playing games.”
