Young Nigerian midfielder Al-Baashir Musa has scored his first league goal for his club, FK Apolonia Fier of Albania, netting in their last game against Kukesi on Wednesday.
Apolonia plays in the Albanian second league (Kategoria e Parë) and the club is currently occupying the fifth position on the table after three games.
The former Ejike Ugboaja FC playmaker commands the attacking midfield of Apolonia with his sublime passes and terrifying moves giving the club hopes of moving up on the league table.
They have won one match, drawn one and lost one, bringing their total points to four behind table toppers, Bese Kavaje with nine points from three games, followed by Flamurtari in the second position with six points, third-placed Vora also has six points while Burrell is fourth with five points.
FK Apolonia is based in the Fier area of Albania, the club was founded on June 17, 1925 and took its name from the nearby ruins of the ancient city of Apollonia. Their home ground is the Loni Papuçiu Stadium.
Meanwhile, Musa is playing his first season with the club after joining them late last year, starting from their under-19 team.
His exploits at the youth stage gave him promotion to the senior team where he currently commands the midfield to the admiration of the club’s supremo.
Musa is expected to start when Apolonia will be at home against Lushnja on Sunday in their next league game.
