Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has praised Nigeria’s Flying Eagles despite their ouster at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Sunday.
The Flying Eagles lost 1-0 to South Korea after extra-time to miss out on a place in the semi-finals.
A 94th minute goal by Choi Seok-Hyun ended the Flying Eagles’ hopes of winning a first-ever U-20 World Cup title.
However, Peseiro hailed the Ladan Bosso side, urging them to be proud of their performance.
“Heads up, Flying Eagles!” Peseiro wrote on Twitter.

Before their elimination from the tournament, the Flying Eagles recorded famous wins against Italy (2-0 group stage) and hosts Argentina (round of 16).
Meanwhile, the semi-finals will see Italy face South Korea and Israel will battle Uruguay.

They are bunch of losers, they didn’t make any of us proud. They all played rubbish
Tribalism and sentiments makes it difficult to select real talents, we should be winning these tournaments.
So you think Nigeria should be winning every tournament, how ridiculous is that. It smirks of entitlement.
We have such an entitled citizenry, always thinking they deserve to win all the time.
The purpose of the tournament as been served. Discover new talent for super eagles and also export talent.
Even God is not happy with tinubu and the goal they scored they dedicated it 2 tinubu then tell me how will you emerge as champion when God is not in support
So it is because God is happy with the other countries, that is why they win ?
Do you think God takes sides in sports. He probably fold his legs and enjoy the show. May the best man win. Most of the participants worship God , don’t they.
God is interested in people turning attention to him.Worship him instead rather than football.
