Ayoze Perez says Brendan Rodgers was key in convincing him to leave Newcastle for Leicester. The Spaniard was officially confirmed as a Leicester player on Thursday after putting pen to paper on a four-year contract.
He becomes Leicester’s second eddition of the summer, following Luton full-back James Justin through the doors at the King Power Stadium.
Perez enjoyed his highest-ever scoring haul in the Premier League last term, netting 12, and reports claim Leicester have parted with £30million for his services. Speaking to LCFC TV, Perez said: “I’m very happy and very pleased. I’m very proud to be part of the Leicester family and I can’t wait to get started.
“The Club want to keep growing as much as they can and that’s something I like. I spoke with the manager and that was important. That made me feel very comfortable about the decision to come here.”
