For me Chelle was the best Candidate if we are to go by is win ratio and African experience. It is just sad that the NFF is always up to something and never feel the pain soccer loving Nigerians go through due to their corruption. At this point I pray that this new Coach will not be dishonest because I have never seen a successful dishonest Coach.
@Chima
Chelle’s win ratio against what opposition? Or are we only dreaming of playing against African oppositions? We have to put things in context.
Not saying Labbadia’s record is golden. But he is by far a much more experience Manager than Chelle.
I would have preferred a Herve Renard, but I can make do with Bruno Labbadia, based on his top-level experience in Management and playing against far worthy opposition.
Let’s just give him a chance to see what he can produce.
And which opponents was Peseiro and Finidi unable to defeat? This same Chelle defeated us with mali. Let us respect coaches based on their intelligence and not their nationality. Anyways they have hired this one so let’s move on and pray for the best!
Hahahaha was Finidi able to beat ordinary Benin republic even on a neutral ground….LMAOoo.
Or is this one ok…?
Let’s learn to respect coaches based on their intelligence….LMAOoo
THE PURPOSE WHY THEY EMPLOY THE COACH THAT KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT AFRICAN FOOTBALL IS FOR THE MANAGEMENT TO BE BRAINWASHING HIM. BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT CHELLE & RENARD CANNOT BE BRAINWASHED
Exactly those guys already understands African football politics so NFF wey no want better for Nigeria thought they smartly ditched them.
NFF and the Sports ministry! I hail o! The more we look the more they confuse us.
Let it be said that they have truly gone for a foreign coach, abi. Untested and unproven coach.
No wahala. Sit don look na dog name.
We dey for our corner dey watch.
Make we reserve our comment.
I wish him all the best.
DESPITE ALL THE TIME THEY HAVE WASTED, I PARTICULAR WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED THAT A WRONG COACH WOULD BE APPOINTED AT LAST . A COACH THAT DOESN’T KNOW ANY THING ABOUT AFRICAN FOOTBALL.
** INFACT , FAILURE IS ON THE WAY. AFCON & WORLD CUP TICKET IS NOT GUARANTY
Allow him to fail first. As long as it’s not a glorified local coach we will take him like that. When we reach the bridge of WorldCup and AFCON qualifiers we will find out. For now he’s welcome aboard.
even if dem appoint Jesus Christ or Mohammed as Coach of the super eagles, una go still complain…
Nigerians with too many expectations..na wa o…smh…
Here comes the top grade coach with a proofing track record as said by our honourable minister. Doesn’t have anything against the new coach but he is still in the same bracket as Rohr,Pesseiro etc. Ask what is salary will be. We told you Nigeria can not afford a reknown world class coach. Anyway, i wholeheartedly welcome the new gaffer and want to implore him not be sway by the ranting of online coaches.
Let’s give him a chance you are welcome to Nigeria
I don’t know why some fans are disappointed with the appointment of Labbadia as head coach of the super eagles. He played and coached at the highest level, and from all indications he didn’t fail as a coach,so why so much disquiet by football fans?
Haven’t not coached in Africa does not mean he won’t be a success.
I’m sure he has seen videos of games as it’s played in Africa.
Besides,he must have coached and played against African players over the years,I’m optimistic he will be a success!Welcome gaffer…Good-luck!
Nawaooooo for Nigerians they must complain in everythinh.you were clamoring for a foreign coach and nff appointed a foreign coach your still complaining.
Standinho do you ever have choice in life or you’re the type they call anywhere belle face that people would impose half baked second hand products on? Nigerians have the right to demand excellence but like I said Goodluck to Bruno and NFF make we move.
Bruno lagbaja na we houseboy, e get why but wuna go complain taya.
Sebi you want Oyinbo to be the Super Eagles coach ba? Now you have it.
I have no problem with foreign coach as long as is giving the results Super Eagles deserve but if not, NFF and those who have been advocating for the foreign coach on this forum should get ready for the wotowoto from we the patriotic Nigerians. Good luck to him. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Which wotowoto?? The one wey una collect from your ‘own’ abi na the one wey rohr give una a few months back…..lol. Nobody the beg u to support him, u hear. Una don learn una lessons the hard way like we warned u. He he he…
Omo komo.
You don carry ya wahala come again!
Abeg let us support the new coach. No threaten am with wotowoto just yet!
Well, from his profile and from his wealth of experience as a player and a coach with big clubs apart from the african experience, i think he’s a good pick. He’s way better than the bunch of clueless, jobless and corrupt ex internationals that are always waiting for food is ready jobs from the nff as is if na their papa inheritance. Let’s just wish him well and give him the all the support he can get. I just wish he was given the job immediately pessero left. The danage and mess wouldn’t have been this much. Now, he has a very delpidated house to fix in a very short while. I hear he’s a relegation saver specialist, so Let’s just believe he’d do the same with the super eagles by moving us out of the danger zone. In football, u never lose hope until you hear the final whistle. Congratulations bruno.

From his profile, Italian -German gaffer,Bruno Labbadia, have the experience, technical savvy, managerial acumen and strong charisma to manage our star-studded SUPER Eagles. Sceptics keep on dwelling on his lack of experience in African football and non involvement in national team management as reasons for not endorsing him. Pray, who was Clemence Westerhof before he came to Africa to win the 1994 AFCON with Nigeria? Again, who was Winifred Schafer before winning the AFCON with Cameroon? Who was Herve’ Renard before coming to Africa to win the AFCON twice with two different national teams? Some of those crying foul were those rooting for coaches Antonio Concecaio, Eric Chelle and Tom Saintfiet. You have to come to Africa first before getting the experience of African football. We hope and pray that Bruno Labbadia succeeds and we must all support him to restore the lost glory of the Super Eagles. The overbearing and domineering NFF Technical Committee should please allow Labbadia the free hand to make players selection. This is because if anything goes wrong he will bear the responsibility alone . Nobody blames the NFF.At the end of the day, everyone blames the coach. However,we observed that lot of precious time, energy, resources , unnecessary travelling and so on were wasted on recruiting a coach for the national team . Issues bothering on the duration of Labbadia’s contract ,his accomodaton as well as his foreign and local technical assistants should be sorted out immediately to enable us move forward.
