Team Nigeria’s Goodness Nwachukwu missed the chance to win a medal after finishing fourth in the women’s F64 Shot Put event.
Nwachukwu threw two season’s bests, and she was improving on each of her six attempts.
She threw 9.41m on her first attempt, and finished with a season best of 11.49m on her final attempt.
China’s Juan Yao won the gold medal with a mark of 12.53m. There were four different classes in the event, and all the top three finishers came from the F44 class.
Meanwhile in heat 2 of women’s 400m T54, Nigeria’s Hannah Babalola finished seventh in the race, getting to the line in a time of 1:01.37, missing a place in the final.
