Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal is thrilled to break two Spanish national team records in the 7-1 victory over Georgia in the UEFA Euros qualifying match on Friday, September 8 at the Bois Paichadze Dinami Arena.
The 16 year old became the youngest player ever to debut for Spain and the youngest ever goalscorer for La Roja (the reds) in the encounter.
Alvaro Morata scored a hattrick for Spain in the game while Dani Olmo, Nico Williams and Yamal scored one goal each. Solomon Kvirkvelia scored an own goal.
Watford midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze scored Georgia’s only goal of the game.

Yamal said he felt like he was dreaming after the game.
“I am living a dream,” MARCA quoted Yamal as saying
“I have to thank my teammates and coach for their trust, and to everyone who has helped me along the way. I’m very satisfied and happy with the decision to play for Spain.”
Yamal is eligible to play for Equitorial Guinea and Morocco due to his parentage.
Yamal played for Spain at the U-15, U16, U-17 and U-19 levels.
Spain are currently second in Group A of the UEFA Euros qualifiers with six points from three matches.
