Former Mexican coach Rafa Marquez has hailed Barcelona and Spain midfielder Lamine Yamal stating that he is the next Messi.
The 16 year old made his debut for Laliga outfit Barcelona in a 4-0 win against Real Betis on April 29.
He set the record for being the youngest player to debut for the Blaugrana (Blue and Red) at 15 years, nine months and 16 days.

On October 2 he extended his contract with Barcelona until 2026 with his release clause set at €1 billion
The youngster became the youngest player in history to score in Laliga in a 2-2 draw with Granada aged 16 years and 87 days.
He is also the youngest goalscorer for Spain as he scored in a 7-1 win over Georgia.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Marquez said that Yamal belongs to an elite group of players.
“He belongs to that group of gifted boys who have this innate talent and no matter how old they are to compete in any category and make a difference,” Marquez said.
“Ronaldinho, Messi… Lamine can be the next. He has all the qualities. Obviously we have to take care of the processes because he is still a child.”
Yamal has scored one goal and provided two assists in nine Laliga appearances for Barcelona this season.
He has scored one goal in two appearances for the Spanish national team.
Barcelona are currently third on the Laliga table with 21 points from nine matches.
Spain are currently second in group A of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with 12 points obtained after five matches.
