Edo Queens will know their group opponents in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League next week Wednesday.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Saturday that the draw for the competition will hold at its headquarters in Cairo Egypt.
Edo Queens will be participating in the competition for the first time.
Moses Aduku’s side won the Nigerian title in May.
The draw for the CECAFA, UNAF and UNIFFAC regions will also be conducted on the same day.
Hosts FC Inter D’Abidjan of Cote d’Ivoire, Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana, Burkina Faso’s AO Étincelles OR USFA,
Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic, Niger Republic outfit AS GNN and ASKO FC of Togo are the other teams that have qualified for the WAFU B tourney.
FC Inter D’Abidjan and Hasaacas Ladies will be seeded for the draw.
The competition will take place between 10 – 23 August in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux Stadium.
The winner will represent the zone in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
