Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-Min Son has said with his side’s current form, North London rivals Arsenal will not wish to face them.
Both teams will renew hostilities when they clash at the Emirates on Sunday.
After five games played Spurs and Arsenal are yet to lose, recording identical results with four wins and a draw.
The Gunners did the double on Spurs last season, securing a 3-1 win at the Emirates before triumphing 2-0 in the reverse fixture.
Looking ahead to Sunday’s clash, Son stated that the result is the most important of the season.
“It’s a special game for them as well,” the athletic.com quoted Son as saying.
“The result is probably the most important of the season. We have to work hard, we’re working hard in the week. The players are ready and looking forward to it.
“I’m pretty sure they don’t want to face us at the moment. I guarantee we’re going to give everything. The result I can’t promise you, but one thing I guarantee is we’re going to give everything for this club on Sunday.”
Son has scored three goals in five Premier League appearances in the 2023/24 season.
Spurs are second position on the Premier League table with 13 points after the first five matches in the division.
