Willian made Premier League history in Arsenal’s home clash against Newcastle United on Monday evening.
Willian was introduced with 11 minutes left in the game for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against the Magpies.
His introduction means he is now the Brazilian with the most matches in Premier League history after making his 248th appearance.

The former Chelsea star helped the Gunners see out the game as they ran out 3-0 winners thanks to Aubameyang’s brace and goal from Bukayo Saka.
Reacting to the achievement Willian wrote on his verified Twitter handle:”Im very proud to become the brazilian player with the most matches in Premier League history. #premierleague #248matches #thanksgod #arsenalfc.”
Since his move to Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea Willian has struggled to impress.
Since his impressive performance against Fulham in the opening day fixture, he has been a shadow of himself which has attracted heavy criticism.
