Championship clubs have been put on red alert after Jan Siewert said Danny Williams could leave Huddersfield Town this summer. The US international midfielder is one of six first-team stars due to fall out of contract.
And as Siewert looks to shape his own squad, the German has hinted that he won’t be making an effort to retain his services as Town drop back down to the second tier. However, any number of clubs that the Terriers will face next season could be preparing moves for the 30-year-old.

Hull City have been linked to him in the past and are managed by Williams’ ex-Reading gaffer Nigel Adkins. Williams missed the last few weeks of last season with an ankle injury and sat out 11 games midway through the current campaign because of a knee problem. He has made five Premier League appearances this term, totalling just 93 minutes.
