Erstwhile Inter Milan and Roma Sporting Director Walter Sabatini says he will prefer to have Victor Osimhen over Kylian Mbappe.
Osimhen has been in red hot form for Napoli in his second season with the Serie A leaders netting nine goals in 10 appearances in all competitions.
In his debut season, he scored 10 goals in 30 outings in the Italian top-flight but has already bagged five goals after seven games.
Speaking with Corriere dello Sport, Sabatini , who also held the position of Sporting Director at Roma and Bologna, listed some qualities which Osimhen possesses that will make him pick him ahead of the French 2018 World Cup winner.
“Osimhen, Mbappe? I choose the first. He (Osimhen) does everything, scores in every way, he is unstoppable.
“He rushes on impossible balls and he makes them his. Today, between Mbappe and Osimhen I’ll take Osimhen.”
The Super Eagles star striker could add to his tally for the season and help Napoli maintain top spot when they visit Roma on Sunday.

Very true chief, Osimhen makes the impossible possible! Take a look at the goal against Torino, it came from nothing, there was no chance…. Yet Osimhen scored, lolz…
lol….chief
same as the Canadian phenom – Aphonso Davis of Bayern Munich.
Thanks
Na wa o this guy is just on everybody’s lips and hearts.. This is pure Grace and hard work. Good one.
He is obviously the best striker in the world at the moment considering the options he provides for his team mates with and without the ball. He makes teams afraid of taking Napoli because if u do u will leave spaces behind for him to feast on. World best
That’s true, just added the Nigerian, Osimhen is certainly the World best.
He simply makes the round leather entertaining and lively. La Gazzetta dello Sport, an Italiano sport wrote “After Okocha, Osimhen is the most famous player to have come from Africa”. He has started writing the country’s name in Gold.
May Osimhen continue to soar higher and higher in Jesus name. This is simply a good news for SE and Nigeria football fans in the whole universe
Amen n Amen.
May his unstoppable success not let us forget the pet name, Amen Amen somebody.
What is his pet name, pastor?
When goals were few, Osimhen came off the bench to score against Legia Warsaw. The Nigerian is a game changer.
Nigerian biggest exploit today, he dwarfs others. I’m proud of you.
Osimhen eventually became one of Nigeria’s brightest stars. He is now to pen his signature on the books of the World no1 club, go for it Victor.
talking about making the impossible absolutely possible ..I won’t forget the match between Leicester and Napoli in a hurry..the second goal came from no where..he has no business reaching the ball ahead of Chumichael…yet he got there and scored. absolutely genius.
The Nigerian, Osigoaaaaals. Amen!
Best to happen to Africa in many years, deserves all the praises. Ride on Osi, score more goals. We dey for you.
Wao Wao Wao! AS SOCCER puts it, Victor Osimhen has been setting Serie A alight this season with the Nigeria international bagging nine goals in 10 games across all competitions for Napoli. Plaudits have been coming thick and fast for the striker, who has been described as “unstoppable” by Walter Sabatini. Osimhen’s form has led to interest from abroad with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid both keeping a close eye on the prolific 22-year-old. Osimhen: Bayern to offer €100m to beat Real Madrid to Nigeria star.
Victory could just be it, turns us to prayer warriors. Osigoooooals, the bells are ringing from all corners of the globe. Good luck Nigerians!
