Roma forward, Pedro has revealed that he joined the team ahead of other top clubs in Europe due to their winning mentality.
The former Chelsea star stated this in an interview with the official Roma website.
Pedro said that he’s delighted to be part of a club that’s willing and ready to battle for trophies this season.
“I had several different offers on the table, but I chose Roma because I wanted to experience a different league and country,” the Spaniard told the official Roma website.
“I am pleased with the decision I made, for various reasons. I wanted to be part of a winning team and do something important with Roma. It’s a side that hasn’t won in some time, so competing to the end for a trophy would be very positive for the club.
“I also spoke to the coach and he’s a winner, because he prepares every game with the intent of winning. He can change a few things here and there in training during the week, like pressing a certain opponent, and that shows his desire for victory.
“I’ve spent most of my career with a high press and I really like that way of playing, so it’s easy for me to work with Paulo Fonseca.”
