Crystal Palace Star Eberechi Eze has been in good form for the Eagles this season following his move from QPR last summer.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been on the radar of the Super Eagles in recent times. He plays for the England U21 team but he is Eligible to play for Nigeria.
Eze was born in England to Nigerian parents hence his Super Eagles eligibility. However, the former Queens Park Rangers man has suggested that he does not want his International career to distract his development.
The Super Eagles cannot afford to lose Eze as the player plays a key role that the team needs.

Eze’s Position
Eze is an attacking midfielder who can play through the middle, on the left and right. The Palace star is right-footed and loves to play from the left side. Although this position is currently occupied by Nigeria’s captain Ahmed Musa, Eze’s versatility means he could still fit into the team.
He can play as a forward and as an attacking midfielder which allows him to play the role behind the striker.
How Eze could fit into the team
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, has lacked creativity in the middle of the park. Eberechi Eze could provide answers to that. The palace man has unique style of play. He has quick feet, dribbles and drives the ball into the opposition’s danger areas. This is an attributes the team is short of.
Eze would also release the burden on Joe Aribo who is the only creative outlet in the Super Eagle’s midfield. The current Super Eagles side is rich in attacking players but a creative force has been lacking for Gernot Rohr’s side. The addition of Eze might just be the missing piece of the jig-saw.
Another side of Eze’s game that is overlooked is his passing. The Palace star has a pass completion rate of 85% this season. The Super Eagle’s attack consisting of young players like Victor Osihmen and Samuel Chukwueze would blend with Eberechi Eze. The importance of Eze to this crop of forwards in the Super Eagles cannot be overemphasized.
If Eze snubs England for Nigeria, then we could be ready to see a Super Eagles team like this;
GK – Francis Uzoho
LB – Sanusi
CB – Leon Balogun
CB – William Ekong
RB – Ola Aina
DM – Wilfred Ndidi
CM – Joe Aribo
CAM – Eberechi Eze
LW- Ahmed Musa (C)
CF – Victor Osihmen
RW- Samuel Chukwueze
This starting XI could face any team in the continent and Eze might just be what we have been looking for.
Eze has played 10 games this season in the EPL, scoring and assisting twice. With Eze’s form for the Eagles in the Premier League this season, they might be another Eagle calling him from home- THE SUPER EAGLES.

Sadiq umar u didn’t put y. Go and retype the list for Rohr
Where is Iwobi in your line-up ?
Nice line up that will be hard to beat on the continent. But find space for these dudes too or slot them in on the bench as super subs:
– Alex Iwobi
– Tyrone Ebuehi
– Chudera Ejuke
– Lookman Ademola
– Michael Olise
These 3 strikers are beginning to show up too:
– Awoniyi
– Onuachu
– Sadiq Umar
Then I can watch SE matches with closed eyes (although since the days of Carl Ikeme, we still don’t really have a world class shot stopper).
I prefer alex to chukwueze (on the right), lookman to musa (on the left), and sadiq to onuachu(as a back up striker).
But it doesn’t seem Eze is interested in a switch to the Super Eagles. So lets focus on the players we have.
I don’t think Eze wants to join the Super Eagles team . I’d say keep searching for the ideal creative player for the super Eagles.
CS should stop this nonsense of Eze period!
Find who find you and leave who no send you joor.
As far as I am Eze is not a Nigerian but an English man.
I no send am at all, if he wants us he knows what to do.
I prefer my boy Olise or the PSV guy Noni mmadueke.
Can we forget all the Eze gossip and move on? Eze cannot reject an England call-up. Why do we like wasting time hoping against hope
Eberechi eze is far better than Alex Iwobi
You seem to enjoy the phrase “FAR BETTER THAN”
@ Doc, Stop this it’s uncalled for I don’t like your over excitement.
And ???
@ Doctor koyemi, so??
Doctor Koyemi, e still never click? You still no know wetin dey shele for area?
Eze is better than Iwobi…..hehehehehehe, no be say I dey laugh you ooo.
I dey see ya hand work sha. Love your sense of humor. Nice one 🙂 🙂 🙂
Hmmmm. Who is writing this at CS??? I can’t believe what I just read. Generally, the analysis is not too good
Like it was written by Omonaija. At least, they should stop disrespecting Alex Iwobi. He’s a great player and he is one of the best we have right now.
if i were EZE he should focus more on getting the nigeria call up nd decline to any england invitation d super eagles is slowly becoming a force to reckon wth and his position in our new eagles setup is guaranted dat is just the fact world cup is a sure bet nations cup trophy his birthright and numerous cap outright fact
Ademola lookman is far better and I think he is ready to play the super eagles
Completessports is so desperate of Eze, Eze is better of waiting for an Englang call up instead of joining a tactically bad super eagles team. I forget this site cares about igbo players the most
What’s the big deal abouy eze who does not want to play for Nigeria. Rohr will never put iwobi in the bench for a new unknown and untested and unserious eze.
I dont believe some one could write this? Did someone pay you guys to run down iwobi or what i cant understand at all. Iwobi is more creative than aribo and the rest. He is the current best super eagles player, a midfielder with 9 goals and 8 assist is not creative to you guys? How can you analyse eagles without mentioning iwobi? Let me tell you guys the truth. Without iwobi the super eagles will fall. Ndidi eze and aribo will fail woefully. Iwobi is far ahead of both aribo and eze put together. I cant believe you put him in the bench for who? Anyway let me correct you here. We dont need eze and he is not good enough for eagles.
Uzoho
Aina, adaribioyo, balogun, saidu.
Ndidi
Iwobi ejiara
Chukueze lookman
Osimen
How did tribal and ethnicity creep in this conversation? This is why Nigeria will never develop. This is really sad.
Why will Eze snub England for Nigeria, when we are not serious with our football. Everything here is politics
