Joe Westerman is keen to pen a new deal with Hull FC but knows he will have to return to full fitness first of all.
The 29-year-old is into his second spell with the Black and Whites following a brief, unsuccessful spell with Toronto Wolfpack, who he joined prior to the 2018 campaign.

Westerman penned a one-year extension in September of last year, but he is already setting his sights on another contract with the club once he is fully fit.
“Yeah I am,” he confirmed when asked if he is targeting a new deal. “I enjoyed it almost instantly when I came back. I really enjoyed the five games I played last season.
“We’ve had a little boy recently and I’m just looking forward to getting back out there. “You look back now at Toronto, I have some good mates over there now, but I didn’t make it out there sadly.
It was a big move, it really was. I thought I’d be there a few years but obviously, it came to an end quickly. Luckily Hull came back in for me and I’m grateful for that.”
