It has left Mauricio Pochettino short on options in attack and he had to turn to Fernando Llorente for Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Fulham.
With some key games to come over the next few months as Spurs attempt to cement their place in the top four, it’s understood Pochettino is considering a shock move.
Reports claim that Carroll, who is set to be a free agent at the end of the season, could be available for as little as £2million.
The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout his career and he is yet to find the back of the net in eight Premier League appearances this term with west Ham.
