West Ham start their season with the toughest home fixture imaginable when they entertain reigning champions Manchester City. Thursday saw the fixture list for the forthcoming Premier League season announced and the Hammers host the champions on the opening weekend but after that it gets easier for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

After City at home, they have away games at Brighton and then Watford before a London Stadium clash with promoted Norwich followed by a trip to another newly-promoted side, Aston Villa.
Other notable dates for the diary are the Boxing Day clash across London at Crystal Palace and the home game with Bournemouth on New Year’s Day, with the last four matches of the season at Norwich City, home to Watford, away at Manchester United, with Aston Villa the last game of the season.
