West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic hailed Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi and his teammates, for their impressive performance which saw them beat Derby County 2-0 in Wednesday’s Championship game.
The Baggies regained top spot with the win against Derby as the season reaches its conclusion.
The team who have now won three consecutive games, produced a classy and dominant display to sweep aside their play-off chasing rivals on a night where goals in each half from Grady Diangana and Dara O’Shea secured three huge points in the promotion race.

It was a showing which left the boss “proud” of his players and Bilic says Wednesday’s result puts them in a strong position with four fixtures to go.
“I’m very pleased,” he said. “Of course, it’s all about the result but there are ways to win and we were fantastic.
“The players executed the game plan in the best possible way.
“I am so proud of the players. They defended well, they created so many chances and we didn’t let them have a single opportunity to get shots away.
“Derby are a good team with youth, experience, quality, momentum and something to play for.
“At this stage of the season, it’s all we can ask of the boys, a performance like that.
“We have to use this result to build confidence. We are thinking about Blackburn and Blackburn only now, not the last four.
“We are in a good position and we have to think about ourselves only.”

Am just so happy whenever I watch WEST BROM play this days because if they continue this way, it means we are going to have our very own SEMI AJAYI in the Premier League next season. That made me their fan indirectly! Go go baggies!
Maybe till then, Nigerians will get to appreciate Semi’s talent better. Fingers crossed
