Villarreal has said Samuel Chukwueze’s performance in the famous win against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu will never be forgotten.
In Saturday’s LaLiga clash, Villarreal shocked Madrid 3-2 to claim a first league win at the iconic venue since 2018.
Super Eagles star Chukwueze bagged two top class goals against the LaLiga champions.
His first strike saw him beat Nacho with a dummy before slotting past Thibaut Courtois.
And he netted the winner 10 minutes from time with a beautiful curler into the top corner.
And commenting on Chukwueze’s performance, Villarreal wrote on Twitter:”We won’t ever forget his performance today.“
Saturday’s goal was the third Chukwueze has scored against Madrid this season.
The win took Villarreal to fifth and just four points off fourth position in the league standings.
For Madrid they could go 15 points behind leaders Barcelona who will host Girona on Monday.

A brilliant performance. I am very proud of you.
Those goals are fantastic
The goals were very classic. Both goals will definitely be in contention for the goal of the season award. That said I’m begining to see that Samu is not a trasiditional winger in the mould of Finidi or Amunik per se and strives better in a 4;3:3 formation. Nigeria indeed have talents but no coach to harness them. Onuachu or Osihmen will always find it very hard to score playing along side Samu because he is not a winger who will always lay that final pass to the striker but will strife to score himself as he sees himself has a striker operating from the left wing.It will take a very technical Coach to dovetail Chukwezes style with that of Osihmen in order to get the best of the two talented ballers.
Though I stand to be corrected. I call on our chief analysts Deo,Monkey Post and Pompei as well as Omo9ja to throw more light on this.

Well, the information that samu plays from the left wing is incorrect ..
you will find him at the right wing most often
So, Chukwueze should be dropped from the Super Eagles if he’s too stubborn or unable to play to Osimhen’s strengths. The main playmaker at Napoli (Kwara) easily plays as a inverted/scoring winger sometimes. However, he has created most of Osimhen’s goals because he plays for the team. Finidi George was so successful in Europe because he played to the strengths of Jaro Litmanen and Kluivert. Alternatively, the Eagles could use an overlapping full-back who’s a very good ball crossed. But we need at least one NATURAL/TRADITIONAL winger. Sporadic club performances by Samu or any other winger shouldn’t influence the coaches. Victor Moses was better than Samu, yet he was a very good crosser and played to whoever Nigeria fielded in the center forward position
Thanks for the correction@wei.
I won’t also.
He has always retitred top Madrid players whenever he plays against them.
Last time was Marcello, then Sergio. Now, is Nacho
