Algeria forward Andy Delort, says the Desert Foxes will be up against a solid Super Eagles side in today’s (Tuesday) international friendly game in Oran.
The Super Eagles will renew hostilities with the Desert Foxes when both rivals clash inside the Stade Olympique d’Oran.
Going into today’s clash, the Super Eagles will be looking for a first win against the Algerians since 2016.
On their part, the North Africans have won their last three encounters against the Super Eagles.
Recall that Algeria beat Nigeria 2-1 in the semi-final of AFCON 2019 in Cairo, thanks to a Riyad Mahrez stoppage time free-kick which flew past Daniel Akpeyi.
Also the two-AFCON winner triumphed 1-0 against the Super Eagles in an international friendly match in Austria on October 9 2020.
And Delort, who has 12 caps and two goals for Algeria, said he and his teammates will do everything possible to emerge winners.

“We will face Nigeria who are a solid opponent,“ the 30-year-old told Algerie Presse Service (APS) after the team’s training on Monday evening.
“So it will be a good test for both teams. That said, as it is a home game, we will do everything to win it.
“We have also prepared well. We worked well after the previous match against Guinea. We analysed the game with the technical staff to see what worked and what didn’t to perform better in the second friendly match.
The OGC Nice player added:“Regarding my performance for my return to the selection, I must say that it was not perfect, since I did not have many shots.
“In the second half, it was better, since we played better. I hope I will have better chances against Nigeria. I must also say that for my return to the national jersey, I did not feel any pressure, except that we played badly in the first half which deprived me of clear chances.”
Victory against the Super Eagles will see Algeria extend their recent unbeaten run to five matches.
And prior to their 1-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea in the Group E of AFCON 2021 in Cameroon, Algeria had opened up a massive 35-match unbeaten run.
Jose Peseiro’s side were held to a 2-2 draw against Algeria’s B team in a test game last Friday.
