Feyenoord have expressed their gratitude to Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers after his stoppage time strike earned them a hardfought 1-0 home win against AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.
Dessers came on in the 82nd minute and netted in the second minute of added time to seal the win for his side.
Against Union Berlin in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, Dessers did the same thing as he came on and got the winner with less than 20 minutes left in the 2-1 win.

Feyenoord have now won their last five games and move up to third on 25 points, just two points behind leaders Ajax.
And appreciating Dessers, Feyenoord wrote on Twitter:”We thank you, Cyriel Dessers.”
The 26-year-old has now scored four goals in seven league appearances for the Eredivisie giants.
Also, he has taken his goal tally to six in 17 games in all competitions so far this term.

Weldone Dessers, watched how explosive the match was but could not wait to see your goal. Big ups
Thank him by telling the coach to start him in the next match and get a full dose of dessers!
If Feyenoord can appreciate Dessers like this, why Oga Rohr can not see anything good about this Dessers.
Is he not aware of what Dessers is doing at the moment?
May be the coach doesn’t watch TV or read news papers or hear anything about the way his club is thanking him.
Awoniyi, Dessers, Dennis and Sodiq are doing great at the moment but funny enough, these strikers are not good enough to play for Nigeria, is that what Oga Rohr mean?
I appreciate you too Dessers and I hope you get more playing time fron now on. You deserve it our own Dessers.
The time will tell. God bless Nigeria!!!
If this guy no good pass una almighty osimehin and ighalo make I mess!! Genk wan just kill him career, tankGod u use sense japa. Consistent player for over 3yrs now…ur time go come baller wen this Wawa coach Waka go Cambodia
Naija and recycling of dinosaurs.
When Ighalo was about the same time playing for Manchester United for a full year without a single league goal, Dessers was winning the Dutch Eredivisie golden boot. Even now with fewer minutes played in the league, he is just three goals from being top scorer.
One just has this feeling we’ll be seeing him at both tournaments next year in the Super Eagles.
