Newly promoted LaLiga club Almeria have thanked Umar Sadiq for his contribution to the the club after he sealed a move to Real Sociedad.
On Thursday Sadiq completed his transfer to Sociedad, who parted with €20m plus €6m add-ons to secure the services of the Nigerian on a six-year contract.
And following his move to Sociedad, Almeria sent out a good luck message to Sadiq wishing him all the best at his new club.
“Sadiq, we can’t thank you enough.
We wish you luck in this new phase,” Almeria wrote on Twitter.
Sadiq joined Spanish Almería on 5 October 2020 on a five-year contract and helped them gain promotion to Spanish top flight last season.
He finished top scorer for Almeria last term scoring 18 goals in 36 league appearances.
Prior to joining Sociedad Sadiq had already scored two goals in three league games for Almeria in the current campaign.

Almeria is wicked. So they could allow Sadiq leave for as low as €20m and yet didnt do business with the likes of Sevilla, Villareal and Dortmund….? Damn it Almeria…!
True talk. I was also wondering on why they did that. sadiq would have declined this Sociedad and insisted on the better teams next year.
