The Senegal Football Federation (FSF) have announced that Watford midfielder, Ismaila Sarr, will join the national team squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sarr was initially left-out of the Senegal squad for the 2021 AFCON, after Watford claimed that he had suffered a knee ligament injury on November 20 against Manchester United and was therefore unable to play the tournament.
The Hornets even revealed that they sent the FSF the Sarr’s medical status and recovery schedule, including the clinical diagnosis of his injury and the MRI scans detailing the extent of the injury.
Watford’s letter was in response to the FSF’s statement, in which they claimed that the club was seeking ‘all means to prevent a player from playing with his national team‘, describing it as ‘disrespectful, pernicious and discriminatory behaviour of the leaders of Watford’.

Now it appears that the issue between both parties has been resolved after FSF announced on that Sarr will join the national team training camp, five days before the AFCON’s kick-off.
The 23-year-old will now travel to Dakar to join the remainder of the squad and coaching staff, before traveling to Bafoussam, Cameroon.
The AFCON will take place in Cameroon and will run between 9 January and 6 February. Senegal will kick-off their journey on 10 January, when they face Zimbabwe.
The Lions of Teranga will then face their Group B opponents Guinea and Malawi respectively on the 14th and 18th.

The big difference between sarr and Dennis. The big difference between Senegal FA and Nigeria FA.
While Senegal FA pursued the matter legally, Nigeria FA have been giving different versions of stories and reports. Eguavon said Dennis wants first team shirt. Pinnick just said it was because letter came late. Confusion.
I believe Dennis national team football has ended abruptly. We keep our fingers crossed.
