Watford are understood to be hopeful of agreeing a deal to sign Guingamp left-back Pedro Rebocho.
The former Portugal under-21 international, who joined the French club from Moreirense in 2017, is being targeted by the Hornets as they aim to build on what has been an excellent season.
Left-back looks to be an area where they will look to strengthen, with Jose Holbas turning 35 in the summer and having lost his regular place in the line to Adam Masina.
With Holebas potentially departing Vicarage Road, Javi Gracia is thought to want a second option at left-back and has identified the 24-year-old as a replacement.

The report suggests that he could be available for as little as 4illmion Euros, which may tempt Watford into making a bid.
He has been in excellent form this season, assisting 11 times in 38 matches despite Guingamp looking certainties to be relegated from Ligue 1.
Watford may face competition however, with Leicester, Lyon and Marseille all thought to be interested.
