Watford are reportedly plotting a move for Girona’s teenage right-back Pedro Porro – who has been been linked to Juventus.
Football Insider claim the Hornets are keen on the 19-year-old defender, who made 34 appearances in all competitions for Girona last term, contributing one goal and four assists.
The La Liga club are aware of growing interest in their player from other Spanish clubs and from abroad with Valencia, Sevilla and Juve having all been linked to him this summer.
Watford head coach Javi Gracia is understood to be a big admirer of the player and could be looking to upgrade his options on the right-hand side of his defence. Kiko Femenia was his first choice on that side last season with fellow Spaniard Marc Navarro acting as his back-up – but he could be joining Leganes. Porro has an exit clause of 50m euros but could be available for a knockdown fee in the region of 12million after Girona’s relegation to the Segunda Division last term.
