Watford are believed to be interested in Birmingham City’s 18-goal top scorer Che Adams – but he could cost £18million. The ex-Sheffield United striker has become hot property after going on a goalscoring run that saw him come within a whisker of equalling a record set by club legend Trevor Francis.
Adams found the net in six consecutive matches until he fired a blank in last Tuesday night’s defeat by Bolton – a match that was watched by scouts from several Premier League clubs.

Watford were there alongside scouts from Manchester United, Arsenal, Southampton and even Scottish champions Celtic.
Burnley failed with several offers during the transfer window – when the bidding reached £9million – but Birmingham City rebuffed that interest.
The St Andrew’s club wanted double that figure for Adams, 22, according to the Mirror.
