Watford have swooped on Premier League rivals Southampton to sign teenage goalkeeper Adam Parkes. The 19-year-old has spent all of his career at St Mary’s after linking up with the club at the age of 10, before signing a first professional contract in December 2016.

Parkes’ deal with the Saints was due to expire at the end of the season, but the England Under-17s international has now switched to Watford.
The teenager is unlikely to feature in Javi Gracia’s first-team at the moment but will instead link up with the Under-23s at Vicarage Road.
