This team has to be fortified if they make it to the AFCON-20 proper…
This team is just rubbish. Please let Siasia come and handle this team. It’s like watching under-12 playing. No midfield, no attack, defense sloppy
I disagree..The team has some exciting youths..The build up to the two goals is a testament the boys are good, what the team needs is more quality friendlies and possibly camping outside the country.
You should also take a look at the playing condition the pitch to be precise, which in my opinion shouldn’t host any international game..Do not expect beautiful football in a pitch like that, despite all that our boys have exhibited character scoring in quick successions the goals needed to forge ahead..
We should applaud them for bringing to life qualification dreams to the next under20 world Cup..
@Greenturf, agreed the field was pathetic, but i can tell you for free those 2 goals were shear luck. There was no urgency in their game, same way they played against Burkina Faso. Well i might sound harsh, because i expected more from them. Well i will applaud them for qualifying
I wonder if some people realize this team is genuinely barely over 3 weeks old.
Do you think raising a football team is a plug-and-play endeavor, or getting 21 odd strangers to play together for the first time in their lives is like playing video games…? No less throwing them in the deep end from the get go in winner takes all competitive qualifying matches…??
We should be praising these coaches who get appointed barely a month to the tournament and still manage to assemble players, screen, sieve, raise a team and manage to get their respective teams to the semis from a strong regional bloc like the WAFU B.
No be only Siasia…What about YaroYaro?!
I will just ignore your sarcastic comment. There are better ways to pass your comment without trying to pass insult
Kparobo Ariehi congratulations on your first national goal.
