WAFU B U-20: Flying Eagles Defeat Niger Republic 3-1, To Face Ghana Final

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles came from a goal down to defeat Niger Republic in the semi-finals of the WAFU Zone B tournament in Togo on Sunday.

The win means the Flying Eagles have qualified for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The coach Aliyu Suberu-led team will now take on rivals Ghana in the final on Wednesday.

To get to the final, Ghana defeated Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 in the first semi-finals also played on Sunday.

The Flying Eagles would hope to defend their WAFU Zone B title which they won in 2022 under Ladan Bosso.

Meanwhile, next year’s U-20 AFCON will serve as qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

I hope ethnic jingoists would henceforth learn to judge a coach not by his ethnicity nor his religion, but by his antecedents and records.

Aliyu Zubairu once again deserves a huge pat on the back for qualifying us for an u20 afcon we have no business qualifying for.

Congratulations to the team and good luck in the final when they meet our arch rivals Ghana once again.

Animal trying to exclude his stupid self from those who doubted the coach. I doubted him and I have my reason so F off this place you pretender.

I have doubted the team’s progress and I am happier to be wrong than right as a patriotic Nigerian. Only a pretender will change narratives just to shield away from his own words. Congratulations to the team for making it to u20 Afcon where I hope they’ll continue improving and making themselves proud. As for the above trouble maker I will not go into debate with you but when I have the time I will expose you again, until then I have something important doing than engaging in a disrespectful back and fort conversation with a Classless Weirdo.
