Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has provided positive injury news update on defender Ashleigh Plumptre, reports Completesports.com.
Plumptre missed the Super Falcons 2-0 victory against the Mares of Botswana on Thursday due to injury.
The 24-year-old sustained the injury in the team’s 2-1 defeat to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
“We trained earlier, so we have an idea of where she is in her recovery,”Waldrum told a press conference.

“But there’s a possibility that we will hold her again just to make sure she gets ready for the quarterfinals.
“Still, we would consider giving her some game time to get some minutes under her belt before the quarterfinal match. However, it all depends on the doctor.
“Nonetheless, if the game against Burundi were the quarterfinal, she would be playing.
“She’s capable of playing, but we also want to be smart.”

Looking like the Falcons will play Cameroon in the Q final. This will be a great test for the Falcons. All to fight for as this is basically a WC qualifying game. Just finished watching Cameroon vs Tunisia and all I can say is that the Falcons need to step their game up but we still have to play Burundi tomorrow which the Cameroonians will be watching with eagle eyes..Good luck to the Falcons.
Play her in her natural position (SB) she is pacy, intelligent, more compose and better all round footballer than our current SB pair with Ebi.
The four teams to the world cup will likely be: South Africa, Morocco, Zambia, and Cameroun/Nigeria.
Likely pairings for the 1/4 finals
Morocco vs Botswana
Zambia vs Senegal
Nigeria vs Cameroun
South Africa vs Tunisia.
I love plumtre with all my heart
