Aston Villa goalkeeper Matija Sarkic will look to further his development next season after agreeing a loan switch to Livingston. The 21-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for the newly promoted Premier League outfit but has tasted senior football elsewhere.
Sarkic made three appearances for Wigan in the EFL Trophy and FA Cup during 2017-18, before enjoying spells with non-league duo Stratford Town and Havant & Waterlooville last season.
The Grimsby-born stopper boasts six caps for Montenegro’s Under-21s and will compete with Ross Stewart for the number one jersey. Livingston boss Gary Holt told the club’s official website: “We feel that this move is a win-win for all parties. “I feel confident going into the season that we have two keepers that would be fantastic number ones.”
