Veteran long-time international referee Zdenek Prochazka has died at the age of 93.
Prochazka’s death was announced by the Czech Basketball Federation (CBF).

According to FIBA, Prochazka, who was a delegate and official of the CBF, dedicated several decades of service to basketball until his death.
He first became a referee after sustaining an injury during his youth basketball career, following a recommendation from Josef Fleischinger. The pair later worked together on the Czech version of the Rules of Basketball during the 1970s.
Prochazka later served as a commissioner from 1991 to 2017, when he was recognized as an Honorary Referee. He worked at many tournaments and events, including the EuroLeague Women Final in 2006.
