The USA men’s and women’s basketball teams’ stay at the Paris 2024 Olympics is estimated to cost $15 million.
According to Forbes, the estimate for USA Basketball to send the men’s and women’s basketball teams to the 2024 Paris Olympics is $15 million, as both teams will be staying outside the Olympic Village.

The estimate is based on USA Basketball’s expenditure for renting an entire hotel in the city center, which has roughly 800 rooms.
Additionally, Team USA has a large traveling party that includes players’ families, support staff members, executives, and NBA personnel.
However, such perks come at a cost. Forbes estimates that USA Basketball will spend $15 million to send the men’s and women’s basketball teams to the Paris Olympics.
For comparison, sending 20 US fencers to the Paris Olympics costs between $300,000 and $400,000.
Team USA’s expenses include more than just a fancy hotel. USA Basketball also had to cover security, charter flights, players’ transportation to practices and games, and shipment of team equipment to Paris.
