Manchester United will have to turn their attention elsewhere after hearing Napoli’s valuation of Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Red Devils are eager to strengthen their defensive options during the current transfer window and Senegal international Koulibaly is said to be high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wish list.
Napoli’s prized asset has been a key cog since joining the club in 2014 from Genk, having made 157 Serie A appearances to date, and his impressive performances have attracted huge interest from across Europe.

A summer switch to Old Trafford has been mooted over the past couple of weeks although the Partenopei look like they will hold onto the defender, based on Guillem Balague’s comments. “Koulibaly is obviously a target for Manchester United, not just for Manchester United,” he said on his YouTube channel. “Napoli are saying £120/130m, but generally they don’t want to sell. “That figure, it’s a figure that they may sit down on the table for, but it comes accompanied with the line that they don’t wanna sell. So they’re not in a rush to do so and it will have to be for a lot of money.”
