Manchester United are said to be in talks with Real Betis over attacking left wing-back and reported Real Madrid target Junior Firpo Reports in Seville claim United are keen on the 22-year-old, who tore Barcelona apart at the Nou Camp in November.
The Spain Under-21 international is valued at around £25million by Betis, who are likely to sell off some of their best assets this summer. The news appears to have been leaked to the media – possibly with the intention of driving Firpo’s price up with Real Madrid also said to be interested.
Firpo impressed in Betis’ 2-0 victory at the Bernabeu last week – where he registered his fourth assist of the season. Manchester City could also become involved in any auction with Firpo’s agent being Pep Guardiola’s brother, Pere.
