Nigeria forward Taiwo Awoniyi is moving closer to full fitness following a short spell on the sidelines, reports Completesports.com.
Awoniyi has been sidelined since February with a muscle injury.
The 23-year-old sustained the injury in Union Berlin’s 0-0 draw against Schalke.

The striker however returned to training this week is expected to return to action soon.
“Ujah, Awoniyi, Dajaku, Becker, Teuchert. Prömel, Hübner, Busk had muscle issues. Everyone else is available,” Union Berlin coach Urs Fischer told a news conference on Thursday.
“Awoniyi is making progress. Becker going in the right direction. Teuchert also in fitness.”
He has scored five goals in 19 German top-flight games this term.
