Before his injury he was on a roll. He was getting interest everywhere, from celtic, rangers, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, permanent signing from union berlin and premier league clubs. Before he said he wanted to play for Liverpool, but he didn’t have the work permit, that’s why he went on loans. Jurgen Klopp being a German manager I will think he will give this African a chance like most German managers do. Why should they sell him? He is capable of playing for top tier teams and is wanted by top tier teams. Why should he go play for a just relegated team like fulham, west brom and stoke? That will destroy him for sure. Its bundesliga or liverpool for me. I never seen a loaned player get that type of appreciation before. The team made it to europa league conference, 7th place.
Honestly, Awoniyi going to the EPL is a big gamble. Not when it’s a World Cup year. You play for bottom clubs and Rohr will give you the “Simy” comments. You go to top clubs like Liverpool, you tend to microwave the bench, hoping injury befalls the crown princes you met there.
Or still yet have the option of remaining in Union for next season, on familiar terrain.
So, your choice Awoniyi.
