Ulster have been hit by the news summer signing Gareth Milasinovich is facing a lengthy lay-off because of a serious knee injury. The 26-year-old South African prop, who moved to the Pro14 side from English Premiership outfit Worcester Warriors this pre-season, could face up to nine months before he makes his debut after picking up an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Milasinovich has undergone surgery on the injury and will start his rehabilitation with head coach Dan McFarland possibly pondering bringing in a replacement given that he was set to provide tight-head competition for Marty Moore this coming season. However, Ulster have already drafted in six new faces this summer with prop Jack McGrath, locks Sam Carter and David O’Connor, utility back Matt Faddes and fly-half Bill Johnston arriving alongside Milasinovich.
