England caretaker coach Lee Carsley says he’s confident the duo of Declan Rice and Jack Grealish can handle the tense atmosphere in Ireland ahead of today’s Nations League game.
Recall that the two players rejected the chance to represent Ireland as young players, instead pledging to play for the Three Lions.
Speaking with Dailymail, Carsley stated that he was not worried about the reception the team will receive against Ireland.

“We spoke—not only to Jack and Declan, but to the whole squad—about the atmosphere we expect it to be.
“Exciting, passionate, and loud, but it’ll be no different from what the players are used to in Premier League games or high-level games. I think they’ll be ready for whatever comes out.”
On what reception he expects, the former Republic of Ireland international said: “I’m not sure, to be honest. Probably the same.
“But if the reception that we had off the kids outside (the hotel) was anything to go by, it will be very positive.”
