Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie helped Paris FC beat Arsenal on penalty shootout in the first round qualifiers of the UEFA women’s Champions League on Saturday.
Nnadozie made two brilliant saves to help Paris FC win 4-2 on penalty shootout after a thrilling 3-3 draw in regulation time.
Three Lionesses of England 2023 women’s World Cup star Alessia Russo, was one of the two Arsenal players whose spot kicks were saved by Nnadozie.
Arsenal reached the semi-finals of last season’s women’s Champions League and lost to Wolfsburg 5-4 on aggregate.
Nnadozie was one of the outstanding performers for the Super Falcons at this year’s women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
She kept three clean sheets at the tournament as the Falcons got to the round of 16.
In the first game, she saved a penalty in the goalless draw with Canada which saw her named Player of the Match.

She is surely becoming notorious for saving penalty kicks.
—- vs France at the 2019 WWC.
—- vs Canada at the 2023 WWC.
—- vs Cote d’Ivoire in the AWCON qualifiers
—- vs Cameroon (twice) at the 2019 AAG.
Quite unfortunately, she couldn’t help us vs Morrocco at the AWCON and vs England at the WWC.
Chiamaka Nnadozie, the next best thing to happen to our female football development.
Chiamaka must be in contention for the Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year. She should have saved one or two penalties in that shootout against England instead of harassing Arsenal Women
Lol. Fear God oh. The same penalty kicks English media made fun with the fastest speeds taken by their players especially the last one?
This girl is so good.
